Atiku Abubakar Welcomes Rescue of 360 Boko Haram Victims

Atiku Abubakar, a prominent political figure, expressed relief over the successful rescue of 360 individuals abducted by Boko Haram in Borno State. The operation, conducted by Nigerian troops in the Mandara Mountain area, was noted for its effectiveness against the backdrop of ongoing terrorist threats.

Abubakar emphasized the importance of continuing efforts to secure the release of all captives, including nearly 100 schoolchildren and teachers reportedly kidnapped in Oyo State. He commended the Nigerian military and security agencies for their role in the operation and stressed the need for adequate equipment and strong political leadership to combat the nearly two-decade-long insurgency.

Abubakar urged authorities not to relent in their efforts to rescue all abducted Nigerians and called for reforms in the country’s security architecture, advocating for intelligence-driven operations and technological deployment to prevent future attacks.
