Atiku campaigns in Osun for ADC's Najeem Salaam ahead of Saturday poll
Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar rallied Osun voters to support ADC gubernatorial candidate Dr Najeem Salaam at the party's campaign finale in Osogbo.
On Monday, Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar journeyed to Osogbo with a delegation of political associates to champion Dr Najeem Salaam, the African Democratic Congress nominee contesting Saturday's Osun State gubernatorial election. At Nelson Mandela Freedom Park, he took the podium for the ADC's grand rally, urging residents to cast their ballots for the party's candidate.
During his remarks, Atiku invoked his substantial political engagement across multiple cycles in Osun State, noting how residents had consistently favored him at the ballot box. He framed his appeal as reciprocal—urging voters to demonstrate loyalty by selecting the ADC's gubernatorial option.
The former presidential candidate stressed that his attachment to the state transcended mere transactional politics, emphasizing a bond rooted in genuine relationships with the people. Atiku characterized the ADC itself as representing Nigeria's best political talent.
