Atiku Abubakar Condemns Attack on Tinubu Supporter

Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President and presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, condemned the assault on Tempo Mudi, a supporter of President Bola Tinubu, during a political event at the Petroleum Training Institute Conference Centre in Effurun, Delta State. In a statement released on Wednesday by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu, Atiku described the attack as unacceptable and contrary to democratic principles.

He asserted that no Nigerian should face violence for expressing political opinions, regardless of their popularity. Atiku acknowledged the public anger over Nigeria's economic challenges but insisted that grievances should be expressed through constitutional means rather than violence.

He urged Nigerians to utilize the ballot box to hold leaders accountable, stating that the Permanent Voter Card is the most powerful tool for democratic change. Atiku called for peaceful and law-abiding behavior among the youth and emphasized the importance of civility and respect for all citizens in the political discourse.
