Atiku Abubakar Condemns Assault on Tinubu Supporter

Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President and presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress, condemned the alleged assault on Tempo Mudi, a supporter of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, during a political event at the Petroleum Training Institute Conference Centre in Effurun, Delta State. In a statement issued by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu, Atiku described the attack as unfortunate and inconsistent with democratic values.

He asserted that no Nigerian should face intimidation due to political beliefs and emphasized that democracy thrives on dialogue and respect for differing opinions. Atiku acknowledged the frustrations among Nigerians regarding the economic situation and criticized the current administration for failing to meet its promises.

He urged citizens to reject violence and instead mobilize for the 2027 general elections using their votes as a tool against bad governance. He called on the youth to remain peaceful and committed to constitutional means of political change.
