Atiku, CSOs Criticize Tinubu's 3-Year Administration

On the third anniversary of President Bola Tinubu's administration, former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, representing the African Democratic Congress, and various Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) criticized the government's performance. They issued a statement through Phrank Shaibu, Tinubu's Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication, asserting that the administration has failed to address critical issues such as poverty, hunger, and rising insecurity.

Atiku emphasized that instead of the promised "renewed hope," Nigerians are experiencing increased hardship, insecurity, and poverty. He noted that millions can no longer afford basic necessities, with food prices soaring and inflation becoming a burden on the poor.

The statement also highlighted that the federal government borrowed approximately N11.9 trillion within nine months, with little visible improvement in daily life for citizens. The criticism included references to mass abductions and the government's inability to ensure the safety of schoolchildren, marking a significant failure in governance over the past three years.
