Atiku Delays ADC Membership Card Collection Amid Jonathan 2027 Speculation

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has delayed the collection of his African Democratic Congress (ADC) membership card amid speculation about a possible presidential run by former President Goodluck Jonathan in 2027. Atiku, who recently resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), was expected to pick up his ADC membership card in his hometown of Jada, Adamawa State.

However, the event, initially scheduled for August 6, was postponed indefinitely without an official explanation. A chieftain of the ADC confirmed that the party is in discreet consultations regarding Jonathan's potential presidential run, considering his appeal across party lines.

The ADC Chairman in Adamawa State confirmed the postponement of Atiku's reception and mentioned ongoing talks about Jonathan joining the party. When asked about Jonathan receiving an automatic presidential ticket, the ADC spokesperson declined to comment.
