Goodluck Nigeria Movement Endorses Atiku for 2027 Election

The Goodluck Nigeria Movement has officially endorsed former Vice President Atiku Abubakar as its preferred candidate for the 2027 presidential election. Emma Umerah, the Convener of the movement, stated that this endorsement marks a significant grassroots initiative aimed at addressing Nigeria's pressing challenges.

The movement will deploy its grassroots structure across all 36 states and 774 Local Government Areas to support Atiku, who is running on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC). The group emphasized that Nigeria is in an emergency requiring experienced leadership, highlighting Atiku's proposed three-point rescue plan focused on subsidy removal, insecurity, and hunger.

The movement supports the removal of fuel subsidies but insists on protective measures for vulnerable citizens. Proposed interventions include Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses and direct cash transfers.

On insecurity, Atiku's approach involves community policing and modern security technology. Additionally, the movement advocates for agricultural interventions to ensure food security, stating, "Nigeria must feed itself.".
