Carter Efe Shifts Loyalty from Wizkid to Davido

In an interview with TVC News, Nigerian skit maker Carter Efe discussed his evolving support for prominent music artists, specifically his transition from Wizkid to Davido. He revealed that his loyalty is not fixed to one artist, influenced by a past negative experience with Wizkid, whom he accused of disrespect.

Efe stated, “the last time I said let me be in one place, the person poured spit on my face and that is Wizkid.” He emphasized that he now associates himself with the name "Machala," which is commonly linked to Wizkid, claiming that people now recognize him by that name instead. Efe expressed his deep respect for Davido, referring to him as "my daddy" and "my helper," and mentioned that he had spoken to Davido the previous day.

He affirmed his commitment to Davido, stating, “I will never in my life betray Davido.”.
