Atiku/Amaechi Movement Advocates for Leadership in 2027

The Atiku/Amaechi Movement, under the leadership of Umar Ibrahim Shanono, stated that the 2027 presidential election should prioritize capacity, experience, and the urgent need to rescue Nigeria over personalities and political rhetoric. This statement was made in response to comments from former Kano State Governor, Senator Rabiu Kwankwaso, regarding Atiku Abubakar's candidacy.

National Director of Media and Communications for the Movement, Hassan Sahabi Sanyinnawal, acknowledged Kwankwaso's status as a respected leader but asserted that the election should focus on the qualifications of candidates. Sanyinnawal highlighted Atiku Abubakar's extensive experience in both public and private sectors and his understanding of Nigeria's economy.

He also mentioned that Atiku's partnership with former Rivers State Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi would provide the tested leadership Nigeria needs. The Movement called for unity among opposition leaders to tackle serious issues like insecurity and poverty, urging all patriotic Nigerians to prioritize the country's needs.
