Atiku Abubakar Backs ADC Presidential Candidate Choice

Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President of Nigeria, stated his intention to support whoever emerges as the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC). He dismissed claims that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was undermining the ADC, noting that the party continues to attract members nationwide.

Atiku highlighted the ADC's upcoming national convention scheduled for April 14, where the presidential candidate will be selected. He accused INEC of misinterpreting rules and vowed that the ADC would proceed with its plans despite INEC's actions.

In an interview, Atiku emphasized the party's commitment to youth and women, asserting that the ADC is focused on creating opportunities for young people in politics. He expressed confidence that Nigerians are ready for change, citing worsening economic and security conditions, particularly in northern states, and the high rates of youth unemployment and lack of educational access.
