Wike Calls Atiku a "Serial Loser" Ahead of 2031 Bid

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, criticized former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, calling him a "serial loser" for his repeated attempts to contest the presidency, including a bid for the 2031 elections. Wike made these comments on Thursday while inspecting ongoing road projects in Abuja.

He also criticized Atiku's claims regarding the current administration's failure to improve the living conditions of Nigerians, noting that many citizens disagreed with Atiku's assertions and pointed to visible infrastructure work being carried out in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). Wike emphasized that his government would continue to focus on development projects regardless of political battles, assuring residents that major road projects linking satellite towns would be completed on schedule.

He disclosed that work on the airport-Kuje road was nearly finished, with a part of the bridge expected to open for use next week, and the entire project set to be ready by the end of May.
