Atiku's US Firm Investigates Nigeria Election Interference

A Washington-based lobbying firm associated with former Vice President Atiku Abubakar is actively seeking evidence of alleged election interference in Nigeria as the country approaches its 2027 general elections. This initiative follows claims of a faction within the People Democratic Party (PDP) attempting to disrupt the ratification ceremony for presidential candidate Goodluck Jonathan.

The firm, Von Batten Montagu York, has been tasked with gathering credible and verifiable evidence of political interference attributed to the current administration led by President Bola Tinubu. The PDP faction, led by Nyesom Wike, has threatened to shut down venues for the ratification ceremony, which is scheduled for Saturday.

Despite these threats, the faction has vowed to proceed with the event. Additionally, the PDP's national public secretary, Ememobong Fridai, has called for an investigation into the alleged attempts to create political tension and disrepute within the party.
