Atiku Abubakar, Malami Condole Nasir El-Rufai's Loss

On Saturday, Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President of Nigeria, and Abubakar Malami, the former Attorney General of the Federation, visited Nasir El-Rufai at his residence in Abuja to offer condolences following the death of El-Rufai's mother, Hajiya Umma El-Rufai. Atiku shared his deep pain over the loss and encouraged El-Rufai to maintain his composure and resilience during this challenging period.

Malami also expressed his sympathies and prayed for the deceased's soul, asking Allah to grant the family strength to bear the irreparable loss. The visit was part of a broader show of solidarity from prominent political figures, including former Minister of Transport, Rotimi Amaechi, who also extended condolences.

Hajiya Umma El-Rufai passed away in Cairo on Friday after a period of illness. El-Rufai had recently returned to Abuja after being granted temporary release on compassionate grounds to attend his mother’s burial, amidst ongoing legal challenges related to alleged financial misconduct.
