Atiku Abubakar Backs Any ADC Presidential Candidate

Atiku Abubakar, a prominent figure in Nigerian politics, has expressed his commitment to support any presidential candidate that emerges from the African Democratic Congress (ADC). In an interview with DW Hausa, he dismissed concerns regarding the independence of the National Electoral Commission (INEC) and its potential impact on the ADC.

Abubakar highlighted that the ADC continues to attract members across the country and noted that there are currently few aspirants interested in the presidential ticket. He compared this situation to that of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), which had ten aspirants contesting for its presidential ticket.

Abubakar emphasized the importance of youth and women in the party, stating that the ADC aims to create opportunities for these groups. When asked about supporting a youth presidential candidate from the ADC, he responded affirmatively, indicating a focus on security and a better future for younger generations, including children and grandchildren.
