Atiku, Tambuwal Accuse INEC of Bias at ADC Convention

Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President of Nigeria, and Aminu Tambuwal, the former Governor of Sokoto State, accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) of bias and interference in the affairs of opposition parties. This accusation was made during a speech at the African Democratic Congress (ADC) convention held in Sokoto.

Atiku claimed that INEC's actions are aimed at maintaining President Bola Tinubu's power beyond 2027 and described the current situation as an attempt to establish a dictatorship that undermines Nigeria's democracy. He emphasized the need for free and fair elections without government interference.

Tambuwal echoed these sentiments, stating that Nigeria must be rescued from Tinubu's oppressive governance. The ADC convention also nominated Atiku as a presidential candidate, alongside Peter Obi, Rabiu Kwankwaso, and Chibuike Amaechi.

The convention is scheduled for April 14 in Abuja, with Liyel Imoke as the chairman of the organizing committee.
