Atiku Abubakar Unveils Plans for Nigeria's Recovery

Atiku Abubakar, the former Vice President of Nigeria, unveiled his economic recovery and security plans while appearing before the African Democratic Congress (ADC) screening panel in Abuja. This event is part of the ADC's ongoing process for presidential aspirants seeking the party's ticket ahead of the 2027 general elections.

According to a statement issued by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu, Atiku described the engagement as a routine party exercise that provides an opportunity to present solutions to Nigeria's worsening economic hardships, unemployment, and insecurity challenges. He emphasized that Nigeria cannot continue on its current path, where citizens face severe economic difficulties and businesses struggle due to policy uncertainties.

Atiku's economic agenda focuses on job creation, private sector expansion, and fiscal discipline. He also addressed the rising insecurity in the country, proposing a security framework that prioritizes intelligence-driven operations and improved coordination among security agencies.
