Atiku Abubakar Screens for ADC Presidential Nomination

On Wednesday afternoon, Atiku Abubakar attended the presidential screening panel of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) at the Transport Hilton Hotel in Abuja. He was screened alongside other aspirants, including former Minister Rotimi Amaechi and businessman Mohamma Hayatudeen.

The screening committee included notable figures such as former Attorney General Abubakar Malami, former Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal, former Imo Governor Emeka Ihedioha, and former Minister of Police Affairs Maina Waziri. Atiku Abubakar articulated a comprehensive economic rescue blueprint, highlighting the dire state of Nigeria's economy, characterized by mass unemployment and escalating insecurity.

He expressed grave concerns over the relentless violence affecting citizens and criticized the government's inadequate response to these challenges. Atiku called for a coherent economic leadership and a stronger security architecture to address the issues facing the nation, asserting that Nigeria requires tested leadership with clarity of vision and courage to make difficult decisions in the national interest.
