Sowore Critiques Opposition Leaders, Declines Protest

Omoyele Sowore, an activist politician and member of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), explained his refusal to join the protest against the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Abuja. He criticized the opposition leaders, including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, suggesting that Abubakar will return to Dubai permanently after the elections.

Sowore stated that his opposition is based on principles rather than merely opposing for the sake of it. He expressed that the people want genuine activism and trust in their leaders.

Sowore also mentioned that he does not support the current political system, including the opposition parties, and highlighted the need for a true activist approach to addressing Nigeria's issues. He noted that Rauf Aregbesola, a former Minister of Interior Affairs, did not promote the protests effectively over the past nine years.

Sowore's comments reflect a broader discontent with the political landscape in Nigeria.
