Call for Justice and Equity in Kogi Politics

Princ Olusola Akanmod, a former chief of staff to Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has called for justice and equity in Kogi State politics. He highlighted the importance of a rotational power structure, arguing that the current political dynamics undermine societal harmony and inclusivity.

Akanmod noted that the demand for equitable political access has been longstanding, dating back to 1999, and stressed that political power should reflect the diversity of the population. He criticized the existing government structure for its lack of transparency and inclusivity, which he believes hampers the state's potential for development.

Ambassador Rotimi Akenson, representing the Okun Development Association, echoed these sentiments, advocating for unity among the Yoruba community to foster progress. He emphasized the need for a collaborative framework to address common interests and achieve collective goals, reinforcing the idea that the strength of the community lies in its unity.
