Atiku's Camp Critiques Bwala's Al Jazeera Interview Defense

Atiku Abubakar's camp has publicly criticized Daniel Bwala, a special adviser to President Bola Tinubu, following his appearance on Al Jazeera's head-to-head program. Phrank Shaibu, Atiku's senior special assistant for public communication, described Bwala's defense during the interview as embarrassing and filled with falsehoods.

The interview, hosted by Mehdi Hasan, featured Bwala struggling to reconcile his past criticisms of Tinubu, whom he previously labeled a corrupt drug baron. Despite facing backlash on social media, Bwala maintained his defense of Tinubu's administration.

Shaibu further claimed that Bwala had previously requested Atiku's media team to issue a statement regarding threats to his life from Tinubu's associates. He dismissed Bwala's defense as a political performance and accused him of opportunism, highlighting the contradictions in Bwala's statements regarding Nigeria's security situation and Tinubu's presidency.
