Nollywood Actress Atinuke Kareem Dies After Cancer Battle

Atinuke Remilekun Kareem, a Nollywood actress, passed away after a prolonged battle with breast cancer. Her death was confirmed on Tuesday by the Ogun State chapter of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN), led by Executive Governor Owolabi Ajasa.

This loss follows the recent death of veteran actor Taiwo Hassan, known as Ogogo, who also succumbed to cancer. Before her passing, Kareem publicly sought financial assistance for her treatment, expressing the burden her illness placed on her family and urging Nigerians to support her, especially for the sake of her two young children.

TAMPAN acknowledged the contributions from individuals who supported Kareem during her illness, stating that despite their efforts, she ultimately lost her battle with cancer. The association expressed condolences to her family and colleagues, praying for strength for those affected by her loss.
