Kaduna Governor Uba Sani Honors 1996 Olympic Heroes

On Tuesday, Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani honored members of Nigeria's historic Atlanta 1996 Olympic football team, including Daniel Amokachi, Garba Lawal, and Emmanuel Babayaro, during an inspection of the ongoing reconstruction of the Ahmadu Bello Stadium (ABS) in Kaduna. Governor Sani announced that land allocations have been made to the legends and that streets across Kaduna State will be named in their honor.

He emphasized that this gesture is part of his administration's commitment to fulfilling a promise made to the Olympic heroes nearly three decades ago. Sani stated that the former Super Eagles stars deserve more than just public praise for their contributions to Nigerian football, asserting that they merit "enduring recognition" for their achievements.
