ATTF calls for more investment in table tennis

The President of the African Table Tennis Federation (ATTF), Wahid Oshodi, has called for increased investment in table tennis in Nigeria. In an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Oshodi emphasized the importance of early talent discovery, quality coaching, and consistent support to make Nigeria a global force in the sport.

While Nigeria has seen success in the boys' categories, Oshodi highlighted the need for more work in the girls' categories. He urged the Nigeria Table Tennis Federation and the National Sports Commission to provide funding, coaching, scouting, equipment, and technical guidance to develop younger players.

Oshodi also stressed the importance of hosting training camps, championships, and regular coaching courses to improve the skills and knowledge of coaches. He emphasized that with the right investments and coaching, Nigeria can compete at the highest levels internationally.

The ATTF is dedicated to developing table tennis in Africa and elevating the sport to greater heights.
