Bishop Ezeokafor Critiques Tinubu's Unfulfilled Promises

Rev. Paulinus Ezeokafor, the Catholic Bishop of Awka, voiced strong dismay regarding President Bola Tinubu's unfulfilled campaign promises made during the 2023 general elections.

During a burial mass for Dr. Augustin Azubuik Ekweozor's mother, Ezeokafor expressed disappointment that Tinubu, who was elected president in 2023, has not improved power supply within the first two years of his administration.

He criticized the president for remaining unconcerned about fulfilling his promises, particularly regarding the installation of a first-class solar system at Aso Rock, which he argued does not inspire hope for better power supply. Ezeokafor lamented worsening challenges such as insecurity and the high cost of living, especially following the removal of fuel subsidies, and noted that state governments are not showing concern for the common man.
