KWAM 1 Seeks Nullification of Awujale Stool Nomination Exercise in Ijebuland

Popular Fuji musician KWAM 1 has written to Ogun State Governor Dapo Abiodun requesting the nullification of the nomination exercise for the Awujale stool in Ijebuland. The letter, dated January 14, 2026, alleges exclusion and violation of the Ogun State Oba and Chiefs Law 2021 during the selection process.

The exercise, held on January 12, is accused of being arbitrary and undermining the required transparency. KWAM 1's lawyer, Dr.

Wahab Shittu Ayinde, insists on a fresh, transparent, and inclusive nomination process to avoid potential litigation and unrest. The controversy arises following the death of the late Awujale Sikiru Adetona and the subsequent nomination meeting that reportedly lacked full participation of eligible members.
