The joint statement dismissed social media reports alleging the suspension of chiefs Abimbola Okenla Lapoekun, Tunde Odulaja Madasa, and Lekan Oshifeso.

This clarification comes amid heightened attention on the selection of a new Awujale of Ijebuland following the passing of Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona. The authorities emphasized adherence to due process and urged the public to disregard misinformation.
