Obasanjo Surprises Charly Boy with Emotional Visit

Charles Oputa, known as Charly Boy, expressed gratitude towards former President Olusegun Obasanjo for an unexpected visit to his studio in Ajah, Lagos State. Charly Boy, who had been ill with flu for nearly ten days, noted that Obasanjo, affectionately referred to as "Baba," decided to check on him without prior notice.

In a heartfelt social media post, Charly Boy emphasized the importance of personal connections, stating that such spontaneous visits carry significant emotional weight. He also mentioned his upcoming international tour for his memoir '999' and the Charly Boy Foundation, following a successful launch in Lagos.

Charly Boy described his relationship with Obasanjo as one of mutual admiration, recognizing qualities in each other that are often overlooked. He highlighted that Obasanjo's understanding of his character transcends his public persona, while he himself sees the former president as an elder shaped by various national challenges.

Obasanjo had previously known Charly Boy through his father, the late Supreme Court Justice Chukwudifu Oputa.
