Yomi Fabiyi Claims Lagos Appeal Court Clears Baba Ijesha of Sexual Assault Allegations

Nollywood actor and activist Yomi Fabiyi has stirred controversy by claiming that the Lagos Appeal Court has cleared fellow actor Baba Ijesha of allegations of sexual assault on a minor. The case involved the actor, born Olanrewaju James Omiyinka, who was convicted in July 2022 and sentenced to five years in prison for indecent treatment and sexual assault.

Fabiyi alleges that the case was a charade and questions the credibility of the victim's foster mother, Damilola Adekoya Princess. Despite Fabiyi's claims, the official details of the court ruling remain limited.
