Lagos AG Dismisses Claims of Baba Ijesha's Exoneration in Sexual Assault Case

The Lagos State Attorney General, Lawal Pedro, has debunked reports suggesting that Nollywood actor Baba Ijesha was exonerated in a sexual assault case involving a minor. Pedro clarified that Baba Ijesha was found guilty by the Lagos State High Court in 2022 and sentenced to five years in prison.

Despite a later appeal overturning some charges, Pedro emphasized that Baba Ijesha has not been acquitted and must complete his prison term. Actor Yomi Fabiyi's claims of Baba Ijesha's innocence were deemed baseless and misleading by the Attorney General.
