Kaita Urges Prayers for Katsina Amid Governance Challenges

Senator Ahmad Babba Kaita, the governorship candidate for the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Katsina State, called on the state's residents to pray against bad governance and insecurity as they celebrate the 39th anniversary of the state's creation. In his statement, Kaita expressed nostalgia while congratulating the people of Katsina State, acknowledging the serious challenges they face, including insecurity, poverty, and economic backwardness attributed to poor governance.

He suggested that instead of festivities, citizens should engage in sober reflection and seek divine intervention to alleviate their current hardships. Kaita pointed out that while some past leaders contributed to progress, recent leadership has left the state in fear of bandit attacks and struggling with poverty.

He encouraged voters to consider their choices in the upcoming 2027 general elections, advocating for the removal of ineffective leaders and the election of those who can bring about positive change. A statement from his campaign spokesman, Abubakar Ahmed, supported Kaita's call for focused leadership.
