Babcock University to Host 2026 Tech Week Event

Babcock University is set to host the 2026 edition of Babcock Tech Week from March 22 to 28, 2026. This annual program aims to promote student innovation through interdisciplinary collaboration, focusing on technology, finance, and health sectors to address real-world challenges.

The theme for this year is "Tether: Connect Across Disciplines," emphasizing the importance of collaboration among various fields. The event will feature competitions, panel discussions, and a career fair, with a total prize pool of N10 million for participants.

The first-place winner will receive N4 million, while second and third places will earn N2 million and N1 million, respectively. The Babcock University Computer Club, led by Oluwadamilola Soji Oderinde, is organizing the event in partnership with the Google Developer Group and the Finance Student Association.

Confirmed speakers include industry leaders such as Ayotund Coker and Ifeoluwa Sobogun. The initiative aims to strengthen the culture of innovation within the university and create pathways for collaboration between students and industry stakeholders.
