Wike Claims Mohammed Sought Reconciliation Over Atiku

Nyesom Wike, the Governor of Rivers State, stated that Bala Mohammed, the Governor of Bauchi State, had approached him for reconciliation, asserting that former Vice President Atiku Abubakar dislikes him. This statement was made during an inspection of ongoing projects in Jahi Kuje, Abuja.

Wike, who is affiliated with the People's Democratic Party (PDP), expressed disappointment over certain individuals receiving appointments based on influence rather than merit. He cautioned against hasty endorsements that could lead to internal divisions within the party.

Wike emphasized the importance of unity among political stakeholders, warning against external forces that seek to create discord. He also clarified that he has not endorsed any candidates for local office and will not do so until a meeting with party elders occurs.

Wike commended the leadership of the Rivers State council chairmen for their efforts in bringing delegates together, highlighting the absence of complaints regarding the gathering as a testament to its success.
