Wike Accuses Bala Mohammed of Seeking Support for Tinubu

Nyesom Wike, the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), publicly accused Bala Mohammed, the Governor of Bauchi State, of requesting his support for Bola Ahmed Tinubu's presidential candidacy under the All Progressives Congress (APC) during the 2023 elections. Wike claimed that Mohammed approached him to back Tinubu but later backtracked on his request.

Additionally, Wike stated that Mohammed sought the position of the national secretary of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), a request that was declined. Wike criticized Mohammed's demands and described him as a weak negotiator within the party.

He also expressed concerns about the PDP's future, predicting its collapse and labeling Mohammed as an inconsistent politician who shifts alliances. Wike reaffirmed his commitment to remain with the PDP and support President Tinubu, despite the ongoing tensions within the party.
