National Assembly to Establish Accountable State Police

Senator Opeyemi Bamidele, the Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee reviewing the 1999 Constitution, announced that the National Assembly is commencing work on a decentralized police system designed to institutionalize accountability and prevent abuse by political actors.
