Zamfara Governor Lawal Visits Bungudu After Bandit Attack

On Thursday, Governor Lawal of Zamfara visited Bungudu Local Government Area to offer condolences to families and residents impacted by a recent bandit attack. Accompanied by his spokesperson, Sulaiman Bala Idris, Lawal began his visit at the palace of the Emir of Bungudu, Alhaji Hassan Attahiru.

During his address, Lawal expressed sympathy for the victims and reaffirmed the state government's commitment to deploying resources to combat banditry. He stated, “This is a test from Almighty Allah, and we will overcome it,” urging residents to remain patient and steadfast in prayers.

Lawal assured families of the injured and abducted that the government would provide necessary support and work towards the safe return of all kidnapped victims. He prayed for the families of those killed, asking for strength and forgiveness for the deceased.

Emir Attahiru commended the governor's efforts and expressed confidence in overcoming the challenge of banditry. Lawal also visited the family of the late Alhaji Bello Umar Bungudu during his trip.
