Cleric Raises Alarm Over Bandits Soliciting Money Online

Dr. Paul Enenche, the senior pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, voiced serious concerns regarding a disturbing trend in Nigeria where suspected bandits are reportedly soliciting financial assistance from citizens online.

This alarming issue was addressed during a mid-week service in Abuja on Wednesday. Enenche led prayers for the nation and reacted to a viral video featuring a young man who claimed to have received an offer of N100,000 from suspected criminals, who later threatened him for N100 million.

The pastor questioned why individuals would knowingly seek financial help from those linked to violent crime, emphasizing the troubling cultural shift where such serious matters are treated lightly. He highlighted the potential for this behavior to encourage impunity and weaken public accountability, suggesting that the nation's leadership appears indifferent to these issues, which could lead to a lack of consequences for criminal activities.
