Tinubu Orders Security Reinforcement at NIPSS After Attack

President Bola Tinubu has ordered immediate and permanent security reinforcements at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) in Kuru, Plateau State, in response to a recent banditry attack that claimed the lives of two soldiers and one policeman. Vice President Kashim Shettima conveyed condolences to the families of the fallen security personnel and emphasized the government's commitment to ensuring the safety of national institutions.

The President directed the Director General of NIPSS to collaborate with the Armed Forces, Nigeria Police Force, and the Department of State Services to fortify the institute's perimeter without delay. A comprehensive action plan for permanent security measures, including surveillance and access control, is to be submitted within 72 hours.

Weekly progress reports will follow until full completion. Shettima described NIPSS as a vital asset for Nigeria's strategic intelligence and urged that the attack should not deter the spirit of the nation.
