Tinubu Orders Security Reinforcement at NIPSS Kuru

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has mandated immediate and permanent security reinforcements at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) in Kuru, Plateau State, in response to a recent attack that claimed the lives of two soldiers and one policeman. During a speech on Friday, Tinubu, represented by Vice President Kashim Shettima, expressed condolences to the families of the fallen security personnel and emphasized the federal government's commitment to protecting national institutions.

He directed the Director General of NIPSS to collaborate with the Nigerian Armed Forces, Nigeria Police Force, and the Department of State Services to fortify the institute's perimeter without delay. A comprehensive action plan, including surveillance, personnel access control, and emergency systems, is to be submitted to the Vice President within 72 hours.

Weekly progress reports will follow until full completion. Shettima praised the leadership of NIPSS and the swift response from security forces, urging that the attack should not define the institution's spirit.
