Banditry: Bad Roads, Tough Terrains Hamper Military Response – CDS

Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Lucky Irabor revealed on Thursday that banditry in Nigeria is being hampered by bad roads and tough terrains, making it difficult for the military to respond quickly. In an interview on Channels Television's Politics Today, General Irabor emphasized that many Nigerians expect immediate military intervention without understanding the challenges on the ground.

He highlighted the threat posed by improvised explosive devices (IEDs) and the complex landscape in flashpoint areas as major obstacles. General Irabor explained that these factors contribute to delays in military responses to attacks, which may not be fully appreciated by citizens.
