Bandits Abduct 90-Year-Old Village Head in Niger

On Saturday at approximately 6pm, bandits invaded the residence of a 90-year-old village head in Niger, abducting him after firing several shots. The victim is the biological father of the current District Head of Dekara.

A local resident expressed distress over the incident, emphasizing the community's concern for the elderly leader's safety due to his advanced age. Residents of Ka’ada, Dekara, and surrounding areas are praying for his safe return and have called for immediate action from security agencies to ensure his release.

Efforts to contact the Niger State Police Command for a response were unsuccessful, as the spokesperson's phone number could not be reached at the time of reporting.
