Bandits Kill 10 in Dusk Attack on Kwara Communities, Governor Vows Stronger Security Response

In a tragic event, bandits launched a violent assault on Woro Nuku and Kaiama communities in Kwara State, resulting in the death of at least 10 villagers. The attackers, suspected to be operating from the Borgu National Park forest near Niger State, invaded the settlements, shooting sporadically and setting houses ablaze.

The Kwara State Governor, Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq, condemned the attack as cowardly and frustrating, emphasizing the need to enhance security operations in the state. The state government suspects the attack was a calculated attempt to divert attention from recent successes in combating kidnapping gangs.

The Governor's Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye, conveyed heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and assured the community of intensified security efforts to prevent such incidents in the future.
