Two Killed in Bandit Attack in Kwara State, Nigeria

In Kwara State, a bandit attack in Gidan Sani village, Tsaragi Emir area, led to the death of two individuals, including a woman. The incident occurred around midnight on a Sunday when the assailants targeted a family.

The Kwara State Police Commissioner, Mr. Adekimi Ojo, confirmed the attack, stating that the bandits attempted to kidnap a family but encountered resistance.

During the confrontation, the father and his wife resisted, resulting in the wife being shot. The father was also shot in the leg, while their 10-year-old daughter sustained a gunshot wound to the leg.

Tragically, the woman succumbed to her injuries, and the bandits managed to escape after the attack. The incident highlights the ongoing security challenges posed by banditry in the region.
