Bandits Kill 20 in Fresh Katsina Attack Despite Peace Deal

In a tragic incident, bandits killed at least 20 people in an attack on the Doma community in the Tafoki ward of the Faskari Local Government Area in Katsina State. The assailants, despite a peace deal entered into five months ago, launched a deadly attack, leaving a trail of destruction.

Surajo Aliyu, the Chairman of Faskari Local Government Area, described the attack as one of the deadliest in recent months. Security operatives were unable to arrive in time to prevent the killings.

The bodies of the victims were evacuated for burial, highlighting the devastating impact of the attack on the community. Efforts to reach the Katsina State Police Command for a reaction were unsuccessful at the time of reporting.
