Bandits Kill Three, Injure Eleven in Katsina Attack

On March 10, 2023, at 6:05 PM, bandits attacked Jikamashi village in Musawa Local Government Area of Katsina State, resulting in the deaths of three individuals and injuries to eleven others. The Katsina State Police Command, through its public relations officer, DSP Aliyu Abubakar, confirmed the incident.

The attack was reported to the Musawa Division Police Headquarters, which quickly mobilized a security team led by the Division Police Officer (DPO) to the scene. Upon arrival, the security personnel engaged the bandits in a gun duel, successfully foiling the attack.

The injured victims were promptly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment; however, three of them were later confirmed dead by the attending doctor. The Commissioner of Police in Katsina, Bello Shehu, condemned the attack and ordered a thorough investigation to ensure that the perpetrators are arrested and brought to justice.
