Bandits Kill Eight Security Personnel in Zamfara Ambush

In Zamfara, bandits ambushed and killed eight security personnel along the Gusau-Funtua highway. The victims, including members of the Nigeria Police Force and Zamfara State Community Protection Guard, were responding to a distress call in Tungawa village, Tsafe Local Government Area.

The slain officers were evacuated to Gusau for burial. Local officials, including the Chairman of Tsafe Local Government Council, Garba Fanchan, have described the incident as barbaric.

Governor Dauda Lawal has expressed condolences and praised the sacrifice of the slain security operatives in restoring peace in the state.
