Dr. Olorunshola Appointed New Chairman of Wema Bank

Dr. Olorunshola has been appointed as the new chairman of Wema Bank PLC, succeeding Chike Obi, who has retired.

Dr. Olorunshola brings a wealth of experience, with 25 years in business leadership and supply chain management, including 15 years in multinational organizations.

She was appointed to the board of BDAN in January 2023 and has demonstrated a strong commitment to enhancing governance and promoting sustainable leadership within Nigeria's banking sector. Dr.

Olorunshola holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from Obafemi Awolowo University, a Master of Business Administration from the University of Liverpool, and a Doctorate in Business Administration from Walden University. She is also an advocate for education and sustainable enterprise, having authored various publications on small business sustainability.

Her leadership is expected to significantly impact the strategic direction of BDAN and represent the interests of bank directors in Nigeria.
