Dr. Oluwayemisi Olorunshola Appointed BDAN Chairman

The Bank Directors Association of Nigeria (BDAN) has announced the appointment of Dr. Oluwayemisi Olorunshola as the new chairman of its Board of Directors.

This appointment follows the retirement of Mr. Mustafa Chike Obi, who successfully completed his tenure.

Dr. Olorunshola, who currently serves as the chairman of the board of directors at Wema Bank PLC, has a cumulative experience of 25 years in supply chain management, business leadership, and corporate governance.

Her background includes 15 years of experience in multinational organizations and extensive expertise across business product planning, procurement, distribution, import/export operations, and logistics services. Adebukola Orenuga, the Chief Executive Officer of BDAN, highlighted Dr.

Olorunshola as a principled and accomplished leader with significant board experience. The association expressed its sincere appreciation for Mr.

Obi's exemplary leadership and invaluable contributions during his tenure as chairman, and it looks forward to the next chapter of growth under Dr. Olorunshola's leadership.
