BOI Disburses N645bn, Creates 1.68 Million Jobs in 2025

The Bank of Industry (BOI) announced the disbursement of N645 billion to bolster the Nigerian economy, resulting in the creation of 1.68 million jobs in 2025. This financial intervention supported 12,501 businesses and 1,615 startups, with 950,362 businesses benefiting from grants.

The announcement was made during the launch of the annual development impact report in Abuja, attended by key figures including Senator John Enoh and Senator Abubakar Bagudu. The report indicated that BOI's strategic financing has helped bridge gaps in government policy objectives and has been pivotal in industrial expansion.

The report also highlighted that 59% of the portfolio supported large enterprises, while 41% went to micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs), ensuring broad participation across 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory. BOI's interventions are aligned with the federal government's industrialization agenda, focusing on high-impact sectors to stimulate domestic production and strengthen local value chains.
