Banky W Celebrates One Year as Pastor and Educator

Banky W, whose full name is Olubankole Wellington, has marked one year in his roles as an associate pastor and global ambassador at Union Church, a non-denominational church with campuses across the US, and as a teacher and leader at Union College. In an Instagram post, he shared that a painful chapter in his life, particularly losing the 2023 election for the Eti-Osa federal constituency seat as the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, led him to seek clarity from God about his future.

He expressed that he had been asking God to choose between different paths, but realized that God was actually broadening his assignment. Banky W acknowledged the influence of Union Church leaders, Stephen and Zai Chandler, on his faith and future.

He mentioned the challenges of traveling between Lagos and Washington, DC, but affirmed that the journey has been worthwhile. He concluded by thanking God and inviting his followers to celebrate his first anniversary in ministry.
