Calvin Bassey reaches 100 EPL appearances for Fulham
Defender Calvin Bassey achieved 100 Premier League appearances during Fulham's 2-1 defeat against Ipswich Town on Saturday. He played the full 90 minutes at Portman Road, marking his sixth league appearance of the season.
Bassey is the 28th player to reach this milestone for Fulham and the second Nigerian, after Alex Iwobi, who has 103 appearances. The 26-year-old has scored three goals and provided one assist in his 100 league games, totaling 8,411 minutes of play.
Including cup competitions, Bassey has made 108 appearances for Fulham, scoring four goals. He joined Fulham from Ajax in July 2023, having previously played for Leicester City, Rangers, and Ajax.
The match was disappointing for Fulham, who were seeking their first league win of the season. They led through a goal from Ryan Sessegnon but conceded late goals to Abdoul Ouattara and Dara O’Shea.
The defeat leaves Fulham in the relegation zone with two points from six games, increasing pressure on head coach Álvaro Arbeloa.
